Lingayen-Dagupan priests to hold concert

DAGUPAN CITY, Philippines – At least 103 priests and deacons of the Lingayen-Dagupan Archdiocese will be joined by 45 nuns, seminarians and youths as they go on stage for a musical concert dubbed “FADZ GOLD” on Nov. 12 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the CSI Stadia here.

Archbishop Socrates Villegas said the concert “will present the pilgrimage of faith that our people have taken since we were made a diocese in 1928 and an archdiocese in 1963.”

“It is a tribute of gratitude to the past archbishops and servant leaders of our archdiocese. It is a celebration of hope for the many years ahead looking forward to our centennial in 2028. We hope to make our youth and children aware of the sacrifices that our grandparents in the faith have offered so that we can be where we are right now – a vibrant, living, caring and proclaiming Church,” Villegas said.

Gov. Amado Espino Jr., Vice Gov. Jose Ferdinand Calimlim Jr. and Dagupan City Mayor Belen Fernandez will also be on stage during the concert.

In October 2010, priests in the archdiocese led by Villegas staged their first all-priest FADZ musical concert also in CSI Stadia.
